Daddy's closet project

We had been looking to purchase a new closet system with shelving for our master closet, and were blown away at how expensive they can run! So, Kevin decided to take on his first BIG project and save us a ton of money!

Growing up with my dad building all kinds of things around our house, this was a fun project for us and we have so much fun using my dad's old tools!  We only had to call Dad (Dale) for one "saw blade" question, so that is pretty impressive!  :)

We have a huge walk-in master closet in the shape of a "U".  So we removed the far left side's hanging clothing bar that the builder had built in and did almost floor to ceiling shelving for shoes and clothes!  Kev used a shelf-pin jig to drill holes so we could have adjustable shelves for my different height shoes!   We kept the other two sides of our closet the hanging bars at different heights from the builder!  So Kev has a wall of clothes, I have a wall of clothes and we share the shoe/pant shelves!  It was a nice and super hot weekend, but Ashley was a great helper and we all had fun!  I am so proud of Kevin he did AWESOME work and we both have a list of "to-do" projects we want to take on now! :) hahaha

Here are a few pictures of the project. . .

Watching as we unload all the boards and materials, she is so ready to help with the painting!
