5 Year Anniversary

Kevin and I went to Mastro's Ocean Club in Scottsdale for a fabulous dinner!   We love their mouthwatering seafood and they have the best dessert in the world! :)  It's our one night a year to splurge like crazy! :)

Kevin surprised me with a 5 year anniversary band.  It is gorgeous and it matches my wedding band perfectly, so my set is complete and my finger is all blinged out! :)  I'm one lucky girl!

I surprised him with a new wedding band and chose one with "wood inlay" to incorporate the "traditional 5 year anniversary gift."  He loves his new wedding ring and it looks great on his hand! :)

Overall we had an amazing night and we can't believe we've been married for 5 years!  Amazing how fast time flies by!  We are beyond thankful for our time together and all our wonderful memories!  Looking forward to many years to come! :)

Ash Wednesday 2011

We went to church at noon for a quick Ash Wednesday service!  Ashley loves to go to church and loves singing in church even more!  She was excellent and was very proud of her Ashes on her forehead today!

Phoenix Zoo day

Grandma and I took Ashley to the Phoenix Zoo!  It was a gorgeous day and Ash definitely had her "favorite" animals she couldn't wait to see. . .

1.  "hee hee's"  = monkeys
2.  "papa roar" = lion
3.  "mama roar" = tiger
4.  "swoosh" = elephant (she has the arm motion with this one)
5.  Giraffe (she shows you by extending her neck and pointing/rubbing at it, to make it look long)
6.  "moo's" = cows
(She is totally trying to say all these names right, but I love her pronunciation of them! :))

We had a great time and she was excellent taking turns around all the other kiddos!  Wouldn't you know we went on "field trip" day for school kids, hahahaha - so it was a little more crowded than usual!

Papa Roar was not waking up. . .but she did see him sitting up for a few minutes and she loved his furry mane!

Queen Creek House SOLD! :)

We are super excited to say that OUR QUEEN CREEK HOUSE finally SOLD!  We were willing to walk away and take whatever hit came with not being able to sell our house, but our stubborn lender didn't want another foreclosure and pushed us to continue working towards a short sale. . .FINALLY 1.5years later we were able to short sale the property!  

We are super thankful for our amazing relator and the sale and are so happy to be finished with that house!  We had some great memories in that gorgeous house!  Kevin proposed to me in that house while it was being built, and we brought Ashley home from the hospital in that house, so we have some found memories!

But we're super excited and thankful for the year we've had in our new house "in-town" and are anxious for all the new memories we'll continue to make here!
