Where in the world has January gone. . .

It feels like time has flown by since Christmas and we've been super busy doing anything and everything!  Ashley has been growing like crazy and is over 35in tall and finally 22lbs! :)  Her hair has gotten super long and she loves for mommy to curl and play with her hair!  

She is a girly girl who loves her tutu's, dancing, singing, and playing with her dollies!  She is well rounded though because she can kick a soccer ball, loves to shoot basketball hoops and can play in the dirt with her dump trucks better than some boys! :)   She has always loved reading books, but we have such great snuggle time throughout the day to rock in the rocking chair and read like crazy!  One of my favorite things is to watch her read the same books to her animals/dollies and hear her version of the story!

January was a busy time, we got Grandma and Holly moved into their new apartments and Ashley was the best helper carrying smaller things to the Uhaul's and even better at painting Auntie Holly's new apartment!  They both have beautiful new homes and we're thankful they moved in the winter! :) hahaha

Ashley has become very independent and has started playing longer stretches by herself without needing anything from anyone!  It's great to see her growing up, but sad that she doesn't need me as much!

Grandpa and Uncle Brian visit

Grandpa and Uncle Brian came to visit for a few days over the New Year's weekend and we had a blast!  We ate at Old Spaghetti Factory when they got into town and then we spent the next few days playing with all Ashley's new toys and watching what of course. . .football! :)  They were very impressed with Ashley's cheering skills, dedication, and knowledge of the game!  We DO LOVE our football in this house! :)

Christmas 2010

CHRISTMAS 2010

This was an incredible Christmas!  Ashley was at the perfect age, she enjoyed every gift as she opened it, we had batteries in everything and ready to be played with!  We were in no rush and that was good, because opening presents took from 9am - almost 8pm!  We ate and napped inbetween, but were mostly playing with all her super cool gifts!

Ashley got a lot of great gifts and again is at that fun age!  She got some great puzzles, books, learning toys, a new bigger/better kitchen with lots of automated gadgets, an awesome Fire truck from Grandpa with a working hose, an adorable vanity and girly things to go with it, a few tutu's and dress up clothes/shoes, a basketball hoop, and other awesome toys galore!  Santa was super this year and left some pretty cool gifts. . .

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was great. . .we had an amazing church service with lots of GREAT music and then home for great food!  We lounged in our new PJ's and read some Christmas books before Ashley went to bed!  Then we had lots of cool toys to put together!  We had a few larger items this year and we wanted Ashley to be able to open things and see certain toys and be able to jump right in and play with them!
