Curbing. . .It came out a lot darker than we were expecting, but once it dried it was perfect and we're very happy with the outcome! :)

New BACKYARD - prep work
We are so blessed to be able to design a kiddo friendly awesome backyard! We don't have a huge yard in our new house, so we really planned and researched before beginning! We will be adding a larger patio cement slab, cement curbing, artificial turf (grass), rocks, woodchips, playhouse and swingset for Ashley! :) We are beyond excited and will be posting pictures and video of each step! :)
Our prep work. . .
It began with us having to get rid of all those nasty weeds in our backyard! We really enjoyed all the rain in the Spring, but didn't enjoy all the weeds that came with it! :)
Our next step was to remove our small slab of cement right outside the slider from the builder. Kev had to get that removed from the house and broken up before the men could pour our new larger patio! :)

Eating pancakes/cereal watching Daddy

Mouth full

Phew. . .that was hard work Daddy! hahaha

New shoes
Ashley got new shoes for our new backyard! She is a very routine kiddo, so if we start something from the very beginning, it works in our favor and is never a fight to get it done!
Grandma bought AshB her new tennis shoes to keep her protected in the woodchips and around the backyard! She runs to the back door to put on her "shooz" and is ready to go out and play for hours!
Ashley absolutely loves them and had to model them for some pictures! :) She is turning out to be quite a girly-girl without any push from us! :) hahahaha
