The end of May we took our annual trip to California! We like to get over there as much as we can to enjoy the weather, see Dada Papa and because Ashley can't seem to get enough beach time in! :)
We spent a day with Dale (Dada Papa as Ashley calls him; because he is Daddy's Papa) and Lee at the San Diego Safari Park. Ashley is in love with wild animals; lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and giraffes. We spent a few days at the beach and enjoyed a few nights downtown San Diego for dinner. We took the San Diego trolley/tram from Old Town San Diego to Downtown and she loved riding on what she thought was a "choo choo". We then surprised her with a ride on an actual train. Kevin drove us up north a little ways from San Diego, and Ashley and I rode the train down the coast and met Kevin (who drove down) in Old Town San Diego. It was a fun 30min ride, which was perfect for her first time. We ate snacks and watched the beach from our seat! We also spent a day on Coronado Island. We rented a family tandem bike and had a blast riding around the island all together! It was a lot harder than we expected, great exercise, and Ashley had the best seat in the house! She was priceless with ringing the bell on the bike as we passed people! :)
We had a great trip and look forward to going back soon! :)
